Insomnia & Sleep
Help for trouble falling asleep, staying asleep or waking too early, with Consultant Psychiatrist Dr. Wong Yim Chan.
A few bad nights are normal. It's worth seeing a doctor when poor sleep happens several nights a week for a month or more, or when it leaves you tired, irritable or unable to focus during the day.
Insomnia is often linked to stress, worry, low mood, pain, shift work or habits around bedtime. Treating the cause usually helps sleep too. Read more in our article why can't I sleep?
If Dr. Wong suspects a different sleep disorder, such as sleep apnoea, he will advise you on further tests.
Consultations are in English, Mandarin (中文) and Bahasa Malaysia. No referral letter is needed.
