When to get help

Addiction often starts slowly. It may be time to talk to someone if you, or someone close to you, notice:

Addiction is a health problem, not a sign of weakness. It often goes together with stress, low mood, anxiety or sleep problems, and treating these can make recovery easier.

FAQ

Common questions

Is it confidential?

Yes. What you share stays between you and the clinic. We do not share your information without your consent, except where the law requires it or where someone's safety is at serious risk.

I'm worried about a family member. Can I come on my own?

Yes. Family members can book a consultation to talk about their worries and how best to support their loved one, even if that person is not ready to come yet.

Do I have to stop completely before I come?

No. Please don't stop suddenly on your own, as stopping some substances, such as alcohol, without medical advice can be dangerous. Come as you are, and Dr. Wong will plan the next steps with you.
